Data Migration Expert (SQL, .Net)
Location: Parsippany, NJ
Duration: Long Term

The Data Specialist Role is accountable for the following:
  • Experience designing, coding, testing data structures through rigorous query development using SQL in both structured and unstructured data environments.
  • Analyze existing data bases and understand complexities
  • Strategize a data migration plan by understanding the existing data base system
  • Collaborate with PMOs, business and Enterprise Architects to develop a data strategy for the organization
  • Participate in Data Governance meeting to provide guidance and advocate how we can help the business be more successful, including participation with Data Management organizations to Define ownership, usage, security and quality for all data
  • Works directly with Data Analysts, Solution Architects and Vendors to understand and validate requirements and translate business requirements into technical requirements and designs
  • Develops strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.
  • Logical design of Databases, Data Warehouses and Multidimensional Databases including data flows, conception model and logical models
  • Serving as a consulting resource for Delivery and Support
  • Creating strategy and recommendations on a company’s future data and tech policies
  • Collaborating with other team members to build the ideal database, data integration and business intelligence infrastructure and platforms
  • Establish Data Architecture Design Patterns and best practices
  • Ability to architect, articulate (to different stakeholders), and implement complex application solutions spanning multiple technologies
  • Documentation of application infrastructure design, system builds, configurations, and support procedures
  • Performing end to end application assessment and provide recommendations including defect analysis and recommendations
Skills
  • SQL Server and database design
  • Experience in .Net is an added advantage
  • Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Familiarity with production support, performance testing, and SQL tuning
  • Experience analyzing batch jobs and implementing solutions
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Data Analyst/architect/specialist
  • Extensive experience in data migration from legacy system to a new implemented systems
  • Leadership and strong communication to influence architecture and design decisions
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Communications and Presentation Skills including ability to communicate data concepts to business users
  • Good understanding of Data Governance
  • Data modeling and design
  • Data Analysis

  • Data Warehousing
  • Tools knowledge for Data Disciplines
