Job Description:

We are looking for a Subcon at the district of Columbia state project at Washington DC.

Experience and role expectations are senior developers with minimum 3 years experience on Business objects reporting tool.

Duties

·       Participate in requirement elicitation process defined in project  management plan to identify requirement gaps/issue(both functional and non-functional) in order to come up with a comprehensive requirement document

·       Perform high and low level design.

·       Provides pseudo codes, implement the prototype and does design review in order to deliver design documents as per customer requirements.

·       Participate in client discussions to understand the problem faced by the customer and articulates the same to internal stakeholders, define and document the problem and get customer agreement,

·       Brings in best practices in the Industry provide different options in order to assist in identify and define the problem

·       Strong in developing optimized high quality code deliverable, perform code deliverable reviews & Unit test plan reviews, conduct independent testing and sign off code release for testing stage in order to build application conforming to project standards and requirements.

·       Support the in Integration/System/performance testing based on Integration and system test plans and supports UAT in order to ensure defect free program/modules/system/infrastructure release.

·       Provides input for overall implementation plan and deployment of application/system/infrastructure and post production support activities.

·       Review the production issue analysis and fixes, interface with customer to clarify issues in order to ensure issue fixes in timely manner and with minimal production impact (adherence to SLA).

·       Participate in KT sessions, prepare and review system appreciation documents, understand application/system/infrastructure dependencies, perform shadow support in order to complete transition.

·       Participate in analysis of incoming cases/tickets, assign tickets to team members, track fixing of tickets and verification of fixes, tracking of SLAs, performing root cause analysis of defects and elimination of root causes, running process improvement initiatives.

·       Mentors the junior team members on Technical Competencies and provides performance feedback of the individual team members to Project Manager in order to manage performance.

·       Build repository of team's collective knowledge, seek information and leverage knowledge from other projects in order to drive higher efficiency and effectiveness and preserve organization knowledge.

Required

·       Bachelor’s Engineering degree / Masters in Computers

·       Should have minimum 3 years of experience in development in Business Object XI R3.1 and above.

·       Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work in a team environment

·       Should have experience on two end to end full DW project life cycles.

·       Strong knowledge in Data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, OLAP processing.

·       Lead Report design based on requirement gathered while working on cross functional project team

·       Experience in designing and building the Universe using BO Universe Designer, manage and deliver interactive web based reports(Webi Reports, Deski or Crystal reports) using Business Object Rich Client or Infoview(Web – based Client).

·       Experience in designing and building the models using Universe Designer and Ad-hoc reporting using Infoview or Rich Client.

·       Good understanding of OLAP processing for changing and maintaining the warehouse optimizing dimensions, working knowledge of creating classes & objects, LOV’s, Prompts, Ranking Measures, Loop problems, etc using Business Object Universe Designer.

·       Good understanding of Report scheduling, creating report instances and working knowledge of parameter passing on the report.

·       Strong knowledge of report Testing (Unit Testing, Bulk Data Testing, Acceptance Testing) and bug fixing. 

·       Strong SQL programming skills and strong RDBMS knowledge including the ability to analyze and debug complex SQL queries.

·       Prepare technical documentation of product sub systems.

·       Performance-tune the report and the base query.

·       Knowledge of BO administration/ configuration (CMC) would be an added benefit.

·       Resolved data problem discovered by quality QA and developed solution to the problem.
