Position: SQL Software Developer – CITGO
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 6 months
LOCAL CANDIDATES are preferred.
Experienced SQL developer with Oracle RDBMS and SQL Server development, modeling and scripting experience.
Using business and technical experience, this position will design and implement one-time and on-going software interfaces between CITGO Petroleum (CITGO) and an external third-party vendor,
Reliance Label Solutions (Reliance).
This effort is in response to upcoming EPA/GHS regulatory requirements which impact CITGO product labeling software applications.
The resulting interfaces will support CITGO's internal and contract plants and CITGO's Lubricants Repackaging Marketers.
Currently, relatively complex product-labeling data is housed within CITGO custom-designed Oracle tables, which are supported by PowerBuilder, Oracle PL*SQL, UNIX AIX scripts, and HTML.
Regulatory data exists on SQL Server tables within equally complex CITGO-owned vendor software (IHS/IA).
The position is responsible for determining and implementing a new contractually-permitted GHS-compatible design between CITGO, IHS, and Reliance.
The position will also develop a data exchange communication protocol which meets CITGO Information Technology security requirements.

Data mining, parsing, validating, and populating
Analytical skills with strong experience in data extraction/transformation
Data modeling
XML for data exchange
Experience populating and extracting IHS/IA data and PowerBuilder knowledge is preferred.
