Job Description:
Harris County - Information Technology Center is looking for a developer to come in and help build a brand new application within the Justice Applications department.
Attorney's are reimbursed from the government via a voucher system for defending accused criminals in the court of law.

 

However for attorneys to receive a voucher, the county must supply the federal government with specific reports on who the attorney is defending, what the charge is, who's court they're going to be in and a lot of different areas that data needs to be collected for.

 

Right now Harris County does not have the capabilities to pull these reports and provide vouchers to attorneys.
This person will an integral part of a team to help build an application from scratch to help create these reports.
This person needs to know C# and Asp.Net and have experience developing front, mid and back tiers of applications.

 

They also need to have worked within an Agile methodology.
Experience with MVC, CSLA and SSRS.

 

This person doesn't need past experiences in these areas, but will have the chance to work with these technologies so having previously been in environments working on these will give themselves an advantage during the interview process.

 

This person is going to need to have done nTier development before.
They will be working 3 current contractors that they have on this team.

 

A critical piece of this position is going to be personality.
Our manager is able to be flexible on the communication piece (6 out of 10), but they have to be enthusiastic about coding and problem solving.

 

This is a great opportunity for a developer to step into aa laid back environment and get hands on experience with technologies that they haven't worked with in the past.
They are going to be able to work with SSRS and CSLA
