Job Title: Sr Cloud Engineer/Architect

Location: Waukegan, IL

Duration : 10 Months+

 

MUST SKILLS ARE :

1: Great communication skills be articulate, verbalize and put to paper their knowledge/explain position on topics

2: Demonstrate leadership over large programs in cloud space, large enterprise

3: 10-12 years exp in IT

4: 4-6 years Cloud experience

Nice to have (but not required) : Pharma experience

 

Competencies/Requirements:

Generates high quality artifacts such as architectural and capabilities roadmaps, requirements, high level and detailed designs and deployment plans.

Established experience in Cloud Service development, compute engineering, automation, orchestration, architecture and implementation

Advanced Knowledge of Cloud and Open Source Technologies such as: Service Discovery, Networking, Load Balancing, Containers, Deployment and Scaling, Fault Tolerance and throttling, failure domains, etc…

Architecture vision, artifacts and best practices for Cloud based Paas, IaaS, Shared Data platforms.

Hands on experience with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud or one of the other major Cloud providers.

Deep knowledge of Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).

Demonstrated ability to effectively inspire and influence teams and partners in delivering technology enabled business solutions that meet business needs.

10-12 years of experience in IT / 4-6 years of experience in Cloud

Job title:       Enterprise Cloud Operations Engineer

Location:        Vernon Hills, IL

Duration:        12 months+

 

The top skills:-

• AWS exp – 2-4 years

• Data Center exp. Linux and windows

• Understand policy and procedures with manage service provider.

• Provide guidance of the governance piece

• Networking capabilities

• Automation exp.

 

Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Strongly preferred), AWS Certified Solutions Associate, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.

• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) desired. PowerShell scripting a plus.

• RHEL Certification desired. Advanced knowledge preferred in Linux and System Administration tasks including OS installation, configuration, troubleshooting and management. Linux User Management, Log Analysis, resource utilization and fine tuning. Good knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Ruby, etc.) Experience working with configuration management tools (Ansible).

• Oracle Cloud Application Foundation Essentials or Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Implementation desired.

• Strong understanding of network and firewall principles and cloud virtualization environments such as AWS.

• Docker and/or Kubernetes Experience a plus.

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines a plus.

Basic

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education in Technology related field with extensive (typically 8-12 years) of related work; Technical background in healthcare or companies is preferred.

• Established experience in Cloud Service development, compute engineering, automation, orchestration, architecture and implementation

• Strong background in Operations and/or Infrastructure Engineering.

• Strong background in Linux/Unix and/or Windows administration.

• Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external entities.

• Background in regulated companies a plus (pharmaceutical, healthcare, financial institutions or similar).

• Ability to influence others in the technology areas.

• Advanced Knowledge of Cloud and Open Source Technologies such as: Service Discovery, Networking, Load Balancing, Containers, Deployment and Scaling, Fault Tolerance and throttling, failure domains and zones, etc.
