Job Description: 

  • Responsible for Developing and supporting Chef and entire CICD (Bamboo) workspace. Scope includes:
  • Chef Infrastructure/Ruby scripting
  • Chef Automate pipeline
  • Jenkins Pipeline
  • Chef Cookbooks Development
  • Chef Habitat, Compliance Management
  • Chef client install and convergence during provisioning
  • Proactive review of Chef Infrastructure health and remediation
  • Execute the specified steps related Integrations with new Dev Ops tool set
  • Execute the Chef Client version upgrades
  • Troubleshooting issues, tickets related to Chef agent installation

·         Generating Chef Client convergence reports

Job Description:

  • BS/BA/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Life Sciences, or a related Computational Field.
  • 10+ years' experience supporting the pharmaceutical/or Biotech Industry.
  • Experience administering projects in regulated environments like GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, 210, 211.
  • Strong Knowledge of multiple COTS Lab Informatics applications LIMS, ELN, SDMS, CDS.
  • Experience with Labware ELN a Plus
  • Expert in the software development life cycle, including: planning, requirements, configuration/development, validation, support, and decommissioning.
  • Estimate time, cost, and resources needs to complete complex projects.  Highlight trade-offs in cost, delivery time, and functionality to key stakeholders.
  • Communicate status of schedule, budget and project risks/issues to Director Level and above.
  • Proven track record of managing deadlines and scheduling workload.
  • Mentoring junior team members/ offshore team.
  • Ability to understand large complex processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as have ability/willingness to work in team environment
  • Past experience with Merck MMD is a PLUS
