Job Description:

 

We have the multiple opportunities for DBA Execution Manager for our client in IL - Chicago

 

·         We are currently seeking an Execution Manager with strong technical, communication, and coordination skills.

·         The candidate will be reporting to the DBA team a part of infrastructure and operations and is expected to communicate with all technical and development teams. This position is responsible for scheduling the delivery of database specific hardware, planning, patching management, and tracking of database assets (licensing).

·         The candidate is also expected to communicate and coordinate changes requiring database support across the organization.

 

·         This role requires a strong understanding of business needs requiring the change and implications across the environment for the timing of said changes.

·         Forecasting and project estimation for DBA work across all teams will be required.

·         The candidate will be expected to handle the scheduling of multiple complex implementations simultaneously while providing visibility of critical events and timings to internal and external entities.

·         Clear communication to internal DBA management and external management to insure projects track to plans and prevent deviations or roadblocks is critical to customer satisfaction.

 

Principal Job Functions :

 

·         Working directly with resource managers, identifies and coordinates iterative work across teams related to release deployments, infrastructure maintenance and vendor supplied software maintenance.

·         Track and maintain status on all critical projects, reporting through standard tool sets.

·         Summarize detailed data for high level status and reporting

·         Coordinate the delivery and configuration of database specific hardware from delivery to implementation.

·         This includes scheduling/coordination of delivery, receipt, power, network, and all internal configurations.

·         Meet with customer departments to determine requirements, DBA resources, and timings critical to projects.

·         Determine and communicate resource availability to new projects

·         Provide weekly status report on projects.

·         Disseminate results of implementations to senior management.

·         Alert staff/external stakeholders to upcoming critical tasks.

·         Provide reporting to internal auditing.

·         Provide effective communication across teams.

 

Additional skills:

 

·         Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or business.

·         5 years of technology experience required.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication.

·         Ability to organize and communicate complex issues.
