Responsibilities and activities required for this specific role include: 

·         Create dashboards, reports and metrics that help answer a variety of product and business questions 

·         Develop deep knowledge of VMware’s data assets, develop common cross-product data aggregate views for use by multiple teams 

·         Perform hands on work using Python or R , able to write complex SQL’s, understand API and be able to consume/write API’s as needed 

·         Support teams with day-to-day operations around data and analytics needs 

·         Monitor SaaS industry statistics to help define benchmarks and measure performance 

·         Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings 

·         Be a champion for high quality data-driven decision-making on your team and throughout the company

 

Skills required:

·         Expertise in writing advanced SQL queries.

·         Strong data analytics background and proven record with earlier projects.

·         Proficient in Python/R statistical processing libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-Learn, etc. 

·         Competency with data visualization (Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc) and analysis tools (Tableau, Mode Analytics, etc.)
